  1. Mine dyno'd at 79.5 peak hp with Jim's motor
  2. Can i just wire the 2 together and thats it? Will the push kill switch still work then?
  3. How do your wire around the key switch so you dont need to use a key anymore? Somebody said take all 4 wires and wire them together but i only see 2 going to the switch...
  4. If it runs better when you pull the choke i would think it would be a lean main. What do the plugs look like? They will tell you if its rich or lean.
  5. Thats all i wanted to know is there any other heavy riders out there that have had it done and have any regrets?
  6. This is correct.
  7. Can anybody tell me why lightening the flywheel is not recommended for the "larger" riders?
  8. You will have to go up to around 4 sizes bigger on the main jets. You should see some gains in hp because you are allowing more air in but throw on some pipes with the k&n and you will see big gains.
  9. Shit i'm gonna be there the weekend after that then again 2 weeks after that and damn near every 2 weeks after that all summer long I'm gonna be there alot this summer, windy bay is my favorite place to ride
  10. If you had a broken piston and a broken ring then where do you think them broken pieces went to?? I'd bet to say they went right down into the crank. You better split the cases and make sure you get all the debris out of there. There is a good chance that your crank is "outta wack" now too so you'd be smart if you have it trued then welded while your at it.
  11. If 1 is good then 2 must be better I have 2 on mine along with billet water impeller, coolhead and engine ice in the radiator and shee runs nice and cool!
  12. Idle kit is for stock carbs only.
  13. I keep getting oil coming out from the silencers, not just alittle bit either but a fair amount. I am running castrol tts @ 40:1. It seems like the midrange might be a bit rich because of the dead spot before the powerband. I'm sure the mains are dialed in because i've tried everything from 180's down to 172's and it likes 175's the best but if im not on the pipe all the time then its kinda hard to get back on the pipe because of the deadspot. I've tried moving the needle down and ive tried moving it up but it seems to like the 3rd notch. Is it possible that the pilots are too big? Pilots are 48's at 2 turns out. I believe something is rich causing the oil coming out from silencers and the flatspot in the low-mid rpm range but i donno if its the pilot or the 2 into 1 air filter set-up is not letting in enough air to feed the cpi pipes.......any comments will help.
  14. A +4 long rod stroker ported to match has killer bottom and top end, but it also opens up another can of worms because of the porting, bigger carbs to feed it, intake manifolds, clutch, it will run you about 2g's but it is very fast whereas just dropping in a wiseco crank is about 379$.....its your call. If you decide to go with a stroker I suggest you get in touch with Jim at Passion Racing Engines to port your cylinders, he really knows his shit when it comes to that and he can also hook you up with all the parts you will need for it at competitive prices. His screen name here is PassionRE so get in touch with him.
  15. Wiseco makes a real nice crank and you should be able to get one for about 379$ or for around 100$+ more you can get a +4mm stroker crank. Some places sell them already trued and welded and some dont but definately get it welded before you put it in.
  16. Parts Direct No shipping charge here.
  17. I run 2 20 fin coolers one on each hose with a megaflow impeller and engine ice in the radiator and shee runs nice and cool
  18. Sounds like the choke tube, make sure the little black hose that connects the 2 carbs together is in place. That is exactly what will happen if its not connected.
  19. Toomey's like bigger pilots, try 27.5 and if it likes it then dont be afraid to try a 30 either. I had 30's in with my T5's.
  20. Permatex Moto Seal.....available at most automotive stores.
  21. The springs are inside of the carb tops pushing on the slides right??
  22. Just installed 19cc domes and went to 76 competition 110 straight up
  23. If your compression is 170 then you better be running higher octane or the popping your hearing might be the detonation demons in there beating on your cylinders with a hammer
  24. I bought an impact wrench for 50$ new and was the best tool purchase i've ever made removing those hard to get off nuts like that and the flywheel are SO easy with an impact it will make your head spin.
  25. So a 50/50 mix of 110 and 92 would be out of the question? would i have to go with 110 straight up?
