  6. I'm on a pa atv website, and I read this post about a this guy that wants to buy a shee, and wanted to know how good is it in the snow. So this idiot replays with the post / story... Pull the freakin' cluth in!! I got a kick out of it, but I'm easily amused. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- heres a banshee story i thought id share with ya; One time during january i started the banshee to go for a little snow riding, there was about 4 inches of snow on the ground so i knew i wouldn't get stuck with my new wooley boogers on the back. It was one cold-blooded SOB, always was since i got it, but after i warmed up the engine a bit i took off from the barn to go warm up around the backyard. It was really cold so the banshee throttle felt a bit sluggish in the cable, I hit a short straightaway towards the grape vineyards and openend up into the Shee's extremely massive powerband, just as I let off the throttle i realised it was stuck wide open! The TORS system was not connected anymore and the kill switch was frozen on! Just then my life flashed before my eyes as i was speeding wide open in third gear heading straight for the grape rows and i had no where to turn away except a 90 degree right turn on 4 inches of snow going 50 miles an hour, a grape row in case you dont know have two very strong wires that can decapitate a man or slice a man clean in half if you run into them hard enough. At the last moment i leaned right and put the Shee into a hard and desperate power slide to attempt the right 90 degree turn at full bore. Amazingly enough the banshee did what i wanted it to and made the turn at full throttle thanks to some nice side knobbs on the tires biting hard into the frozen ground underneith the snow. At this point my heart was ready to explode from the adrenalin pumping into it but i knew i was going to be ok after i made the turn because i had enough room to battle the Shee into a stall so i shifted into 5th gear and braked hard to a stop. It's one of the most scary things that ever happened to me on it because the powerband of a banshee is so strong the brakes in the back cant stop the wheels from turning! I went back to the barn to get the pantera to tow the shee back to the barn because i was afraid to start it again, i hooked the front bumper to the tow bar on the pantera and started to tow it back but the damn hook slipped off the bumper and smashed the plastic into several pieces on the front clip since it was pretty much frozen it broke easily. NOT A GOOD DAY. Anyways i found out later the carb slides stuck due to moisture in them that froze, and being half worn out anyways i replaced them, never happened to me again thank god!

    wanted: 250r

I have one.. let me know if you intrested. It's and 86'. Full XC set-up, 330ESR motor.
  9. You said it.. focused on one task, riding, then life's other problems seem to fade away. Then when your back to reality and things start looking down again..I usually starting thinking about the next ride; knowing the high I'll soon feel again.
  10. You know I read that too.. Can't figure out how you end up 50M in debt, before you notice you have a problem. I thought the CEO got executive of the year award, like a year or 2 ago? WTF... again it pays to be a F*ck up.
  11. I'd do Paris, but I'm also a slut. Any pics of the vid out there yet??? Couple snap shots would be nice.
  12. Is there any way to test the stator to see if it good? If so, how? We couldn't find any electrical shorts... any way this could be CDI related? Thanks for the help!
  13. Working on my buddies shee, and can't figure this out. It will start run for a little bit then just die. Seems like when it's just getting up to temprature it will shut it self off. It's basically stock, except the pipes. We wondered if the choke is stuck, but we had the carbs apart and everything seems ok. Any ideas?
  14. Throw 2 qts of oil in the tranny and 2 qts of beer in me after every ride...no problems so far.
