  1. Stock gear will be just fine....... I have a 421 cub drag bike with nitrous and still have the stock gear.
  2. Pretty sure springhill is a pro-wedge track. A set of pro wedge 2's should do great for you!!!!!! Don't waste your time with zippers, 4 snows or pro-wedge 501's. They may look the same as wedge 2's.......but they are not, and if you make any horsepower at all you will be wasting your money.
  3. Sprocket specialists can make you anything you can dream up. They stock sprockets for the banshee hub from 38-74 teeth. Hope that helps!
  4. If they disk the track down at least a couple inches paddles will be fine. I have used paddles at several tracks down south(Rolling Thunder, Little Sandy, etc.) with good success. But I have also been to tracks in the south where the dirt is packed so hard paddles or pro-wedges will never work.
  5. You are absolutely right.......I guess sometimes I assume everybody is in my world. I drag race quads, and if your not breakin shit you're not trying. We run on such a ragged edge that you break parts.....there is no way around it. I still bet you will go thru some parts. For instance do you have your cases o-ringed? If not you will suck tranny fluid and/or air and you will grenade your motor! Unless you keep it below 6-7 psi of boost. But what sense would that make....as you could make that kind of power with a set of good ported stock cylinders or out of the box cubs!!!!! I don't know maybe i'm just a know nothing mother f@#$er with nothing better to do than hang out on the computer all day and keyboard surf. I guess thats your call.
  6. I'm guessing Whitey will blow a lot of motors also during the development stage......if he does'nt he certainly is'nt pushing the motor. I race with a guy with a turbo 350 with nitrous. Very reliable motor when you consider 160+ horsepower. He breaks more second gears than anything! The only advantabe I can see for the fuel injection will be much better throttle response which in turn will spool the turbo faster!!! That is also the only problem I have seen with the turbos I have seen. They are turds out of the hole, but the top end charge is awesome.
  7. Where are you from? I think I know, but not sure.
  8. Not really sure, but I would imagine Schnitz racing would probably have something.
  9. Packards big twin and triple are snowmobile motors mated to pro stock harley type trannys. Not really Banshee based motors. They just have Banshee style plastic on them. Don't get me wrong they are smokin fast, and I would love to pilot them......but nothing on them is Banshee but the plastic.
  10. The biggest 2 cyl I have heard about is 645cc and the biggest 3 cyl. I have heard of is 915cc.
  11. I'll be havin' me a 10mil as soon as they come out!
  12. I have an arctic cat snowmobile that has 6500 miles on it. The bore has never been recoated! In a related story my cub motor had as catastrophic of a meltdown as anything i've ever seen. I could stick two fingers thru the hole in the piston! There was no damage to the bore whatsoever! There was aluminum everywhere but the bore was fine. I guess the moral to the story is nickisil is some really tough shit.
  13. No pro-wedges are not mower tires! But skat traks are several different types of tires. I have a set that say turf tamer on them!
  14. Whiny lil bitches......give em hell Dave!
  15. I have 39.5 TMX's on my 421 cub and it flat out hauls ass. GRR small bore pipes. Ran a best of 4.12 in 300' on motor and 4.02 with a 20 shot! On gas.
  16. Use the 4mm LR crank, buy a 68mm cub top end and some PD big bore domes. On 100 octane gas with CPI's you should easily see 85+horsepower. The cylinders should cost around $1100.00 with cleanup porting, the domes 75.00, and the pistons 140.00. So for less than 1400.00 you have a damn hard running motor. And if you buy unported cubs it would be less than 1200.00!
  17. You can order the cheetahs up to a 74.5mm bore!
  18. I'll be havin' one in the spring. So who's got some cases they want to sell? I need one set of junk cases. All that really needs to be good is the left side of the crankcase the tranny portion doesnt matter.
  19. Get the big cheetah. Hands down that is the better cylinder. There is nothing wrong with the cub, it's what I am running for this year...........until my big motor is built.
  20. What is your squish at.....if you know. If not and you can still turn over the motor it might be a good place to start.
  21. Trenga racing is where to look for a 240 setup. That is how I would go. A blaster can be made to go real fast. It's all about setup and money. There was a cat in Ky a couple years ago that was running consistent 4.9's in 300'. He did'nt weigh 125lbs. wet I am sure that helped a ton. I know he hurt a lot of Banshee guys feelings! Vito's also has a lot of Blaster stuff.
  22. All builders get the cheetahs thru trinity! That is the only way you can get them at least to my understanding. Trinity put up the money at the beginning of the project and now they reap the rewards. The cubs you can buy from a handfull of builders or from Calvin.
  23. You don't need big bore domes until .100 over. And to calculate cc's the formula is bore x bore x stroke x .0007854 x # of cylinders. Your bore and stroke #'s are in mm.
  24. Yup what John said!
  25. I have 39.5 TMX's on my 421 cub and could not be happier. But I know how to tune and have been using mikuni's for the last 20+ years on snowmobiles. It ran 4.02 at 77mph on 100 octane gas this past weekend.
