  1. The width of the frame is where a bunch of the geometry is coming from. Its not going to affect the shock valving, if the shock mounts stay in the same relative position to each other, the a-arm mounting points, and the spindle mounting points. The point of having a narrow frame is to avoid bump steer, by keeping the tie-rod mounts inline with the a-arm mounts. That frame does it nearly perfect. A stock banshee is nowhere close, and therefore we have bump steer.

The frame is 250r based geometry, but its not at all the same as broke's outlaw frame. Look at the old auction that rebel posted before it was stripped of shocks. The ebay front-end has the shocks sitting much more vertical than an outlaw frame, and they look to be a different length too. With that steeper angle you get more progression out of your shocks (the first inch of wheel travel doesn't use as much shaft travel as the last inch of wheel travel). Which is why so many long travel shocks have quad rate springs, to try and get back that progression (they move the lower shock mount out, and decrease the angle between the shock and a-arm).

Your right... but it's definately a 250r based frame.. maybe it's a desert/gncc frame judging by the tires and a-arm width.... There's no real telling who made it... especially if the seller doesn't even know what he has...

  2. LT doesn't really give anymore travel than a regular suspension setup... just more tuneable so in turn you don't bottom out as easy.... As for the question of more travel.. ya.. you'll gain abou 1.5'' of travel...

  3. yep im actually saying it and i know its hard to accept but the stock shocks blow. i would tell you otherwise if i was a shock rebuilder but i dont want your money.. that stuff is good for mild use and to tune in your hill shooter or drag bvike to get better traction but if your into hard riding and jumping then dont mess with them. you already know this. you can also argue "yea not all people are rich and spoiled and dont have money for aftermarket shocks blah blah blah"... im telling you and everyone from experience. and im sure il get quoted a few times but i dont care what your arguement is..

hard riding/jumping=aftermarket shocks........ or you suck at riding.... :baseball_bat:

There's nothing better than the first time you over-shoot something by 10-15ft with a set of good shocks and clinch your ass for the landing...... just for them to soak it up and make that 2g's feel like it was well spent....

I tried taking the cheap route out when I first started trying to go big... all it did is end up costing me more money in the end from busted parts and doctor bills...... If you want to do it... save the money and do it right the first time....

  4. if your complaining about stock shocks then dont use them. upgrade to an aftermarket with better quality and you will be fine. mess around with the adjustments one at a time to dial it in and you will not regret it.. sounds like you actually use your suspension so dont bother with the stock upgrade rebuild crap. trust me they suck. gives you the fix for a little bit but wont last.. shocks are your best friends on banshees

but mike, i would like to know what parts you can get. id like a manual clutch. but i want the one that moves the basket from the crank to the main shaft. classic honda has one but they retail for 1099 i think. not that i would pay that.......

  7. A local shop has an extreme 110 pitbike I'd like to have and the shop owner says he clears 30ft jumps pretty easy, doesn't sound like much but climb on one and it feels like a mile going 30ft I'm sure. A kid 2 houses down from me has a Cobra 50 jr. and a Cobra 50 sr. plus an xr50 which I rode the other day when he came by to see me and I about killed myself on it. The tires almost went flat when I got on the bike and I got kind of crazy with it too. I haven't messed with the Cobra's yet, I'll kill myself on those little bada$$ bikes. I'd definitely like to have an extreme in the near future.

I've personally witnessed a crf88 clear a 45ft gap off an aussie style comp ramp...

  8. Dude, I follow the UFC fairly close and know a bit about it but can never remember who is in what weight class... :banghead: But maybe this will help... Franklin kinda looks like Jim Carey and Griffin looks more like a monkey-lol Your probably thinking of franklin though because he dominates allot of his fights.. Griffin is pretty badass as well but not NEAR as skill as Franklin.. Franklin is by far my favorite fighter, although Hughs and Liddel are badass too..

apbt-- I agree with all that

Hughes got the shit kicked out of him by Michael B. on the ultimate fighter season finale... It was kinda ugly....

  9. I agree... I don't think Tito would have the strength to hold him down IF he got him down in the first place... I mean come on.. It went to a decision when Tito fought Forrest and wouldn't you all agree that Forrest is not near as skilled or a heavy of a hitter as Chuck??

What I want to know is when is Rich Franklin fighting next and who??? Franklin is the shit :headbang:

    RIPPEN

It's funny... he looks like a nerd but he gets in the octagon and destroys people.... Unless i'm mistaken isn't franklin and griffin in the same weight class?

  10. Get both... the ps3 isn't even suppose to come out by december... you'll be tired of the 360 by then... if not.... then at least by then the 600$ it cost you to get it the 360 going won't burn so bad... My roomates and I just picked up a 360 about 2 weeks ago... it's only been off for about 3 hours since then.... battlefield 2 on xbox live is the best gaming experience i've ever had....

  11. Cole, I wish you would've let me know you were gettin a pitbike... akraix's main mechanic builds everything from 88's-110's all the time... could've picked one up fully tricked for about 1300$.... If your looking for some parts that you can't get or whatever let me know.. I'll hook it up...

  12. I think Tito will beat him.I agree,he gets shamrock all bent of shape and that's when he'll make a mistake. When shamrock fought rich franklin,he kept doing high kicks. That's not what he's good at.Stick with what ya know.Swinging for the fences with Ortis is probably a bad mistake unless your Chuck Lidell.LOL!!!!!!!!

Excactly.... Tito is all in Shamrock's head... Shamrock is gonna come out mad and go down hard...
