  1. Are you guys kidding? My fatass hasnt lost to a 450 yet, yamaha or honda-14front,40rear,port&polish,+4 timing, lighten flywheel, polished 28mm keihns,+2front and rear tires with extreme haulers with T-5 pipes, dont get me wrong, they are close races, but no defeats  I will race a few more and report back :bolt:

He's asked about the crf... not the weak ass trx/yfz...

  2. limitless room means nothing. if you don t hit it in a quarter mile, you ain t hitting it. even with 18 38 gears, i was out of gear at the 8th.pinned in 6 th. my highest mph was 111 mph.lightened drag frame, street tires, ect.

a banshee with dirt tires, fenders, shocks,400 lb and a rider will never do 110 mph. it would be a vibrating mess at 90.

I'd pay good money to see somebody try to run your old motor wide open on a stock chassis...

  3. My last ankle was over $8000. I'll take my Alpinestars anyday.

I'm glad my last company had a sweet ass medical setup.. I ended up getting paid for everything I messed up since september of last year b/c our aflac coverage..... that stuff is worth every penny...

Sure they are, but if I could afford a $300 pair of boots, I would be buying them. That and when boots get that expensive, you're paying as much for the name as you are for the boot. And thats one thing I hate to do.

I don't race, and only hit a track every couple of months.

You could pick up some used a-stars or gaerne's off flea-bay for about the price of those... I got luck though... my tech 8's were 60$.... I'm sure those boots will do you just fine... sure thousands of people are happy with them...

  4. Not to bash those things but you typically get what you pay for with mx boots.. I've had the cheap thors and the cheap fox's... a 250$ boot is worth the 100 price difference over the cheaper boots.. the buckles are better.. the way the interior is made feels better... just an all around better boot... If all you do is trail ride and mess around boots are boots but if your seriously riding a 300$ investment on the boots is better than trying to buy a new ankle...... which are kinda hard to come by...

  6. Run in them? My problem with the Alpinestars is they are too narrow in the heel. I know its meant to be like that to hold your foot in place, but its too much for me. Plus it would be nice for them to flex a little. The ones I rode with were a buddies, and they are plenty broke in, so that wasn't the issue.

That's when it comes down to personal preference... I like a stiff boot.. the gaerne sg-10's are a little wider than the 8's.... the fox forma pros are the sweetness too from what my buddies say.. they look to be a little wider and break in nice too...

  7. If you don't like alpinestars I don't know what to tell you... they make just about every possible boot you can buy.... The only difference in the compared sixsixone or gaerne boot to the alpinestar model of equal price is the buckle closure and how the inside sole fits your foot.... Any good boot is going to be stiff for at least 2 months...

BTW, I can run in my tech 8's... there so comfortable I can leave them on after riding......

  8. we have a boat or actually my "mom" has one makes it kinda lame its alright i just want the freedom of my own and living practicly on the rivr is very conveinient yah they can be a pain in the ass if u dont kno what ur doin and they can cost a pretty penny to run expecially with the gas prices now but same principle as a `shee they suck gas and huall ass

im lookin for sumthin like this

    s2_34ccb2d0c57c2.jpg

A 'shee will drink 5 gallons on a long day... that boat will drink 50...

  9. that doesnt do much for the 400 ex vs 450s just some more umff but not enough

Excactly... about the same as putting pipes on a 'shee...

i smoked a stock one lasted weekend everytime i raceed him and its had a pipe thats it

I hope so.... The ex's are turds unless you bomb them to 465 alky drag bike... then it's still slow as shit considering it's a "drag" bike... You buy an ex one of three reasons.. or maybe all the above..

    1. Your a chick

    2. Your a noob/young kid

    3. You need a play bike

  10. this is true. but its cheaper to fold up a douglas .125 wall wheel than a new axle.

There's a reason LSR axles are 400$ new.. You break it and they'll replace it no questions asked... Hipers take care of that rim problem too  ....

  11. they are mp4's but you can burn them to cd. my dad's always burning cds for people. mom, grandma, step grandpa lol :shrugani:

I can't stand having 12 songs on a cd  ... The cd that's in my truck right now has about 170 songs on it.. hasn't left my cd player for 2 weeks... Guess I'm just picky... iTunes fuckin owns though.. I don't know one other program that's 1/2 as good at keeping my jams all nice and tidy... 4000 songs can turn into a mess in a hurry... Not to mention the 20,000+ on the harddrive all my roomates share...

  12. They should down size it. Ya I like it when it first started too!

I don't know who did it... but obviously it had to be lee.. but my text is bigger now.. and the blue isn't as dark... if I could change the skin of the new forum it'd be ok.. just take some getting used to....

    Thanks Lee,

    Mike
