  1. I spoke with ESR yesterday and the 409cc kit with the stroker cranks make close to 100 HP!!! Anybody with Banshees ever deal with them? I have their 370 kit on my Fourtrax and it is a MONSTER!
  2. Sweet! Thanks for all your help guys!!!
  3. Thanks guys! I'm not going to open up the bottom end just to weld the crank. I will run the high compression domes and see what happens. If something happens to the crank, its just an exuse for me to open it up and go bigger!!!! Will I need to rejet after going with high comp. domes? Who makes the best domes?
  4. No, it is not. In order to run high compression domes you need to weld the crank? Also, is it worth it or not to run the high compression domes?
  5. I have a 2003 Banshee, my current mod list looks like this: Cool head (pump gas domes) V-Force Reeds ProFlow intake / K&N FMF pipes and silencer Will the addition of a high compression dome and some race gas make that much of a difference in performance? I'm talking as high of compression that I can go, like 17 domes. What type of race gas will I need? Will 108 octane do the job?
  6. I took the front plastics off and traced the wire to the connect and disconnected it. All fixed! Thanks broke!!!!
  7. I'm sure this is what happens when you remove the e-brake, but how do you fix it? I removed the e-brake, took the cable off the bike and installed the block off plate. Now how do I get the bike to run? It won't rev up the bike, like its being starved of fuel. The cable still left on the bike has the (what appears to be a sensor of some sort) with the male end that has to be pushed in. How do I disconnect the sensor, or is there a another way to fix this problem. Thanks in advance!
  8. Thanks applpro! I figured it was worth at least $3500 to $4000 on the high side! I wonder what is going to happen to the price of Banshees when Yamaha stops making them and there are no 2 strokes in production anymore. Look at the price of 1986-89 Fourtraxes. You can't touch them or even find anyone who is selling them.
  9. TTT, come on someone has to have an idea as to what its worth!!
  10. Just like the topic says: 2003 Alba Banshee Cool head V-Force Reeds ProFlow intake / K&N FMF pipes and silencer Barnett clutch TAG Handlebars factory rims and tires 80% new doulgas rims with holeshots brand new douglas rims with paddle tires- sand sharks (rears only) Alba graphics All mods installed by Alba. The bike has just under 30hours and is in MINT condition. What is the bike worth and what should I ask for it? THNX!! The brake light is now off and there are Douglas rims with holeshots (front and rear) on the bike now.
  11. Can someone please explain to me why one would weld the crank? Do you weld a stock crank or aftermarket or both? At what point in the modification process should one consider welding their crank? Thanks for any input!
  12. If the 110 resists combustion longer, that's the same as "burning slower".
  13. You guys should read this: http://www.atvdra.com/forums/index.php?sho...&st=0entry200 I'm telling you now, I don't care what you say, there is no way (scientifically or mechanically) that a stock motor will benefit from high octane race fuel. The guys that claim they felt an increase from using race gas have been influenced by a "Placebo Effect". You are running race gas therefore your mind is telling you "Hey, the bike seems faster". I'll put money on it that its not faster. If anyone cares to dyno a stock banshee with pump gas and race gas, I'll put up $100 that says there is zero power increase and possibly even a power loss. If I'm right, you pay me $100, if I'm wrong you get the $100 + dyno fees. All info must be posted (ie; dyno graphs, type of gas used, engine modifications, etc). No other changes to the bike are to be made except the fuel. Any takers????
  14. It won't. The race gas will make a motor that requires the higher octane run cooler. A motor that doesn't need the high octane will not run any cooler than on pump gas.
  15. Here's my 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Best truck I ever driven!!
  16. That chart is cool! I had no idea that the Suzuki LT500 made that much HP in bone stock condition!
  17. Straight cut gears allow you to shift gears without using the clutch, that's all.
  18. Heres some more info on the show. I'll be there! http://nyc.motorcycleshows.com/imsnyc/V40/index.cvn
  19. Great! Thanks for the info guys! If I can can my hands on a set, I'm going to pick them up, if not, than Holeshots it is.
  20. What kind of horsepower does a 500cc Banshee make??
  21. I hope you are not reffering to Honda Fourtrax 250R's, are you?
  22. I'm looking for a good all around tire for my Banshee. I heard the Fast Trekkers were good, especially if you mount them backwards. Is this true? What other all around tires do you recommend. I mostly trail ride, occasionaly I'll hit the sand pits, which I have paddles for. Discuss... Thanks
  23. If anything it's not a good idea to let a motor idle because it can foul out out the plugs.
  24. EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. what kind of HP do you guys think my bike makes. See my sid for mods... Thanks
