  1. sorry dude, no trades

good eye, most people see the dale and say "what's that?" or "cannondale, i thought they made bicycles?"

gotta have best of both worlds,

    best 2stroke = banshee

best 4stroke = cannondale, after you work the bugs out. i own 2 of them, one for me one for the wife.

thanks for the measurment, anyone else? sounds like i may need 3-2offset.

    thanks

  2. order has been placed, waiting for them to be made..

i got to thinking about what offset wheel to put on with these. i'm thinking 4-1offset ITP baha's on 21-7-10tires. but how wide will this be? i'm currently 2-3offset but don't want to exceed 49-50".

what are you guy's using, and your overall width to outside edge of tires?

    A wheel offset? + B +2 arms = C OVERALL WIDTH?

    idea's???

  3. i got the spikes at a place called tandy leather. u can probably find them and any leather upholstery place. as for the skin seat if you got a solid black one i'll trade lol

before you all go out and do this, remember, drilling holes in your helmet weakens it!

and if you wreck, fall on your head, drive the spike through the helmet, wheres it gonna go? INTO YOUR SKULL!

you can also get spikes at HOT TOPIC. i got 1/4 and 1/2" ones for my BDU jacket there.

  4. k&n filters do allow the most air flow, = maximum performance, and because of that they WILL allow small particals in as well. maybe not rocks, mud, or certain sands, but DUST is the enemy! there has been review after review between foam or k&n for years.

    foam always filters the best.

on my old 87 banshee i ran T5's and clamp on k&n's. after about 4 years the bottom of the slides on my PWK's worn into knife edges and started chipping off and passing through the engine. i lived at a trail head in southern P.A., rode almost daily, in dusty wooded trails, dusty farm land fields. every 3-4 months i had to pull the carbs and clean out the grit.

i'm 30+, no newbee at the sport, a cycle mechanic by trade, used to be a r&d tech at Cannondale motorsports and i know proper filter treatment and used genuine outterwears. still this was not enough to stop the damage over time.

and as for just clamping filters on to the carbs, space them back some as 2strokespirit said, add velocity stacks and gain even better performance!

    thats my 2cents, from exsperiance.

  5. still waiting, another buddy is getting a set for his cannondale and i'm waiting for him to get his crap together, we're splitting the shipping costs. he just got the fox floats, sweet shocks!

hopefully with in the next 2 weeks i'll have the arms.

  6. i have a contact @ laeger and considering a pair of LT +2+1 arms for the banshee, i allready have LT ohlins shocks waiting to be used. just deciding on brand of arms to install with them. i can get these arms for about $500 new.

    anyone try Laegers? like em?

i notice people here like ASR. i think mainly because they are cheap $$$, ebay specails. i have them on my cannondale, they work good, lots of adjustability, but not the prettiest looking bends, contours, kinda bulky. same with the wickeds, they kinda look the same as ASR's. don't get me wrong, ASR is problably best bang for buck, but my new contact is hooking me up.

out of all the postings here, NOBODY talks about Laegers? is there a reason?

  7. I bought the pipes new about a year ago they are in perfect shape. No dents or small dings, have about 9 months of use on them. The only place that I have had the pipes is in sand. They are not chrome, I paint them flat black with high temp paint. I need $300.00 for them plus $20.00 to ship. If any one want pictures I would be happy to email them to you.

  8. i'm in the middle of a fresh overhaul, last summer the steer bearing had some up and down play, so i figured i'd replace the bearing while its apart.

i removed both seals, nut, pulled the stem out, radiator, ect.. there's a goofy nut that holds the bearing in the frame "on top of bearing".

i found a nut that fits it good and dropped it in. i've tried turning it left, and right. nothing happens. then i tried heating with a torch, still nothing. i'm using a 1/2 braker bar 2foot long with a 2foot cheater pipe on that, still nothing.

anyone know if its left hand threads or right?

if nothing else i'll cut it off with my dremel tool tommorow. i'm so pissed right now i don't even want to look at it again...

anyone else have this problem and know a simple solution?

  9. thats right, its free!! just pay for shipping!!

airbox with modified lid and clips, no filter or cage.

has 5 holes drilled inside lid for a more direct airflow to filter.

its off a 2001, but fits all years, no cracks, burns or melt marks. just alittle dirty.

it'll be trashed if i don't sell it.

    email me: travstrickengines@yahoo.com for pic's

!!! it took 2 weeks!!!! to get here.

to my surprise, i recieved an air box, lid, stock filter and internal brace.
