well it looks like we will find out who's faster this week end.!!!! i havent ridden one of these beast yet but i will saterday. one of the guys i work with picked his bike up yesterday its all stock and ready to beat some z400 ass's. i'm excited after watching those videos i want to ride one pretty bad. and loco the vids i showed him were yours. he's sayin now that the predator wasnt runnin right and should be faster than that....... all and all he's a dumb shit and i regret hangin around with him and owning a z400.

okay this knuckle headed kick up the rode has his ass smothering his face big time with his z400. he's tellin me because his z has a full fmf exhaust and no air lid he thinks he's got the new yfz. he's having hard times with predators. he's a dumb shit and doesnt belive me on how quick these bikes are for being stock. i watched a video on here in the images section and showed it to him he swears up and down that the yfz must have sumthin done to it cuz he realized while the predator kept falling further and further behind how slow his bike is. the kid has completely reverted into a childish state of denial. and now that i dont have a shee to kick his ass with all he does is talk about how his z hung with me shee. but the funny part is in our space where we draged he not got any where between 5-10 :flame: bike lengths between me and him but now his bike hung with mine nose to axle .... its the most anoying thing i have ever argued about in my life. will some one write some chit on here and help talk some sence into him. sorry for the rant.

i need to quit being such a damn pud and get at least one bike of mine running to go on a damn trip. soudns to much fun. we got a trip planned to silver lake this summer since its not to to far from me but i am tryin to do to many things at once and may not get a bike goin by time they leave. sucks but it may happen. ohh well i cant wait to go ridin.

imo the gnarly's or fatty's (same damn pipe diferent stamping) will broaden ur power band compared to the dynoport pipe. just because the pipes would flow more over all compared to the dyno port. my buddy t.r. had the same problem and he switched to a toomey t5 set up(pipes not normally noted for low end) after runnin the dyno port 2-1 and getting a trail port porting his bike was a whole diferent machine and now he loves it cuz it just seems like his bike allways has power everywhere it pulled right off of idle and still had power in the mid and top. i would give the pipes a shot then see if ya wanna sell the bike.

yeh that would be pretty sweet. we could make like a budget banshee and make like a drag bike or sumthin. cuz the whole mx and xc bikes are over done and done to often and way to similar. i think it would be cool.

yeh i guess its a way of what ur looking at. some ppl look at 400 a month on there banshee as nuthin and some look at 400 a month on supliments as nuth but i guess its a matter of what ur into

the silencer on my old kdx200 broke off when a stick flew up and hit it i rode i think it was like 7 miles to get back with out it. ran great as usual just loud but it sounded mean as hell.

i wouldnt go with the t-6. from what i hear they dont to all to well with porting. and i would really recomend either paul turner mid pipes they are the best pipe for "all around riding " i have ever rode. other than that ur doin good.

could it be the clutch is goin out? when my clutch went out on my z i could move foward but not till high rpms. and then it wouldnt move at all.

yeh man insurance kills me 2. ya see thats why i wasnt able to get my buddy's car.it was a built as a mutha fucka. it was a 78 trans am that had been bored, stroked and blown. the thing's rediculous. well needless to say the insurance company doesnt want me to have a muscle car of any type. even tho i like to think of my self as a good driver.... i think its bs. i never done anything in a car thats stupid and hadnt planned on it. i'm not a fast and furious high schooler in a civic with a fart cannon out getting speeding tickets. it wasnt even going to be my daily driver and i still couldnt part with th cash to insure it. i am writen as the full time driver on my moms truck which is a 2000 gmc sierra 2500 4x4. but they said since there were only going to be 3 vehicles insured at my house with 3 driver it had to be writen down as a full time driver for someone. my dad has a good driving record but my mom doesnt, and i am young so it didnt work out....... itsa load of shit. sorry for the rant.

i would put radiator up front with a gril on it. that way you got a decent amount of water flowin threw it to keep it cool. and theres no compromise on he air hitting it. and that would alow you to run it as a 2 seater. which is the way i would go. i am really thinking about doing a project like this. i have a suzuki aircooled 4 cyl 750. it runs it just needs a new home. i think this will be the way i go when it comes to putting the motor some where.

i recomend the performance items in this order. 1. noss machine cool head. www.nossmachine.com (have a look goo shit) 2. air filter, pipes. 3. tires. 4.have some one cut you a -2 swingarm 5.some nerf bars.(if ya dont race then they'll help you keep from get'n hung on trees) 6. suspension thats about it then you can just have fun and as thigns wear out on the motor down the road look into a 4 mill stroker.

just a couple of tips for ya that helpt me out when i had a shee to rebuild. 1.clymers manual. 2.plastic bags. kinda with zippers. 3.a black sharpie marker. 4.label every damn thing you take off there. 5. take pictures so you can see how things were soposed to go. take ur time. 6.and have fun with it. there will be frustrating time when tearing down and taking apart. but remember they are worth it. 7. dont forget to ask more questions on here when you have them. the only way to learn is by asking questions. and experience. 8. and dont skimp on time. do everything correctly other wise you pay for it. 9. you'll need a decent torque wrench. and most importantly dont forget the beer. and friends to help. have fun man. i miss workin on my baby.

uhh generally from what i understand is that detonation or having ht timing advanced to far is what causes it. but a lean condition wouldnt help any either.

well i have decided along with a few of my other friends that ride that we are makin a trip there next yr. it looked like to much fun. i would have made plans for sumthing like this yr but i am not going to have a shee and am to embarrased to ride anything else but a shee. well that and i dont have a bike that runs. . i hope this time next yr i got another shee. i think i may have one at the end of this summer. i may just dig into my house funds i got stashed away at the bank and get one. i dont know yet. depends. but bein bike less is drivin me nuts alone and everyone around me is out riding its driving me nutz. glad to hear everyone had a good time. hopefully i will next yr.
