I noticed i lost alot of power on Saturday and that one of my filters was really wet with alcohol. I am guessing that i have a broken reed. I am going to take it apart later but just curious if that sound likely. BTW even with a broken reed or whatever the problem is, i still smoked a YFZ on the flats.

I live in TAcoma, I will collect it for you.

Do you have any pictures of your set-up? Like your race gas tank? How you did it ect.?
-
Can you run NOS when you run alky?
-
I dont know if you can get close enough but sear has these things that go in a drill and it will unscrew stripped screws. Worked great for me anyway.

Dude. Why you bustin my balls? I sell parts not oil or fuel, And as i stated before not alot of banshee stuff. We dont do any tech stuff. We are a mail order parts store only. OK? If i wanted answers like yours i could go to Blutraxx lol
-
So you dont need a special premix just for alky?
-
Do you have to have special premix for running alcohol? Or will just the standard premix work? Whats a good brand?

I dont know if you realize it or not but im not exactly a newbie. I do own a ATV performance store,so i do know what most doodads, er i mean "Performace modifications" are and do, although we dont do a whole lot of banshee stuff anymore with all the new 4 strokes out there. I do know how to ride, and while some of the parts on this banshee are new to me like the over-ride tranny i think i can handle it. As for the doodad thing, i have already explained that. Enough about doodads! If we ever race ill explain the rest when you catch up -
I have a PVL Ignition. I have read that you cannot hook up any lights with this ignition. Is that right? Also is it any good compared to a Dyna?

I dont know if those would work. I have the radiator with the cap up high. The plastic i have now has a hole for the cap? Anybody know how those would fit on mine, if they would fit? -
You still have them?

Your way off. I am putting a cheap paint job on it now for our next trip just to get the purple off. BUT i am going to look to THESE Guys to do the "REAL" Paint job which will run close to $2000. There are a couple of people who learned the same technice that i might look into for cheaper but that true fire is bad ass i have to have it. -

You guys are funny, sorry if my use of the word doodads bothers you. I was just kidding around. Next time i will use the word MODIFICATIONS or perhaps PERFORMANCE ACCESSORIES. Will that be OK? Next youll be telling me that i dont need a Boost Bottle, sheesh -
I got these dynos when i bought the quad. The previous owner did them before he sold it. I guess after he had the motr built which was like a year ago. But supposed to have only 10 hours on it. Does it seem about where it should be? It seems low to me. Also i have 2 very different torque numbers. Which one is more likely? They both show about 108HP. The torque on one is 192.25 (that one seems way to high) the other is 62.6 This is what the banshee has : 535cc Twister +10mm billet crankshaft; 1-5 auto override transmission with billet 2nd gear; 8 plate clutch with lockup & straight-cuts; v-force 3 reed cages. ACOHOL carbs with oversized float bowls; PVL ignition; Torchworks radiator; Shearer custom drag pipes. Any other opinions? Sorry for the large files. Dyno 1 Dyno 2

I am looking for a K&N intake like this
sweetquads replied to sweetquads's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I am looking for something nicer looking than just clamping on a couple of K&N's to the carbs. Or mabe there is a nice billet clamp? -
But nicer, more bling like

Man i would look into new plastic but i just bought this bike and i dont want to get divorced So painted will have to do......for now. I prolly should have bout a little less of a bike but oh well. I am already making plans to ditch the over-ride tranny. But even that is going to cost quite a few $. Your probably right about the hipers, but they would look cool though. -
Oh man, not the dreaded kick start stays down syndrome. Looks like its time for a rebuild. Thats the first sign J/K

Are the PVL's any good? We dont deal with them only Dyna. As for the seat cover you dont want it. It has some custom writing on it. I am looking at a couple on Ebay. I also will probably paint the plastic black this week, not really into purple. Plus the frame is red so black will look good with my red Hipers. Man you guys got me scared of that tranny. I know how to shift it but what if i forget once to pull the cluch while im slowing. Is once enough to do the damage? If so then i guess i better not forget. Damn i cant wait to take it out. Our next dune trip is on the 2nd-3rd & 4th at Sandlake. -

I appriciate your concern, although i dont know why you would doubt that i rode it on cement That would be a stupid thing to lie about. Anyway before i bought the bike the previous owner told me about the tranny and not to engine brake it. That dont mean that i wont forget but i do know a little about the tranny in regards to how to shift it. It seems like a lot of trouble though, i dont really understand what the purpopes is. I guess every little second (or 1/8 of a second) matter when your dragging. I think i would rather have the plain old standard tranny but what ya gonna do? I am gonna look for a plain old black seat cover till i decide what plastic im going to go with. Oh ya 1 more thing, as for me riding a 300ex, i have been riding a YFZ and have had quads with NOS and i am a previos banshee owner(although not a 100HP one) so i dont think that the 300ex is really nessesary, thanks for your input though -

The Dyno shows 110HP. Seems a little low to me for a 535 dont it? Anyway i have only gotten to ride it on cement and it almost killed me. To damn fast for cement. It needs a 20" swing arm. Its plenty fast enough for me thats for sure. I have to get rid of the seat cover and maybe some black plastic though. Wjat do you think, should i put the Hipers on it? -
Its a 535 Cheetah motor, over-ride tranny (Whatever that is) +12" Swing Arm and all kinds of doodads that i have no idea what they are
