  2. Hello Everyone that is to care I am new to the HQ and looking for some advice. I have been out of the 2 stroke scene for quite some time since my younger racing days and I am now getting back into because my 2 boys are starting into the game. I am quickly realizing that I have forgotten more than I remember about 2 strokes, plus this is my first banshee as I have always had dirt bikes in the past. I am also quickly realizing that there is so many things that can be done from back in the day. I am looking to do some additional performance upgrades, possibly porting/ polishing (other possibilities are not out of the discussion), cool head, etc. and I am not sure of what I really need done to get the best bang for the buck. I have sent emails and tried calling a few site sponsors looking for answers to my concerns/ questions, but have had no replies returned. Who should I call that would talk to me as I have been waiting for about 4 days with no replies? My set up is a 05 Special Edition- Elevation 860'- Compression is 120- Toomey T5's- Bore (unknown)- Ported (unknown)- Reeds (Not Sure of Brand) was told they were done- Stock Carbs with 280 Main, 27.5 Pilot (I looked personally)- CFM Air Box with K&N Pod Filters- I am running 93 with Klotz at 32:1 **Just bought/ received an adjustable timing plate and will be adding a adjustable timing plate in the next few days. Additional Info: The other day the only response that I received in another general forum was from "Gusto". Maybe it is the newbie curse. The info was appreciated, which is why I am now looking for a shop to do the work. Thanks in advance Any help would be great.

  3. Well...shop has had banshee for almost 2 weeks now and it still isn't fixed. They went through the carbs, did an ultrasonic blast on them. They have gone up and down on both the pilot and main jets, but still does the same thing. Runs awesome until you put it into 1st gear and start letting out the clutch...then just bogs out and dies. They say if you mash the throttle upon take off she will go just fine. So it is just that very 1st part of the throttle that doesn't want to work. They are now thinking it may be an electrical problem of some sort. They did a compression test and that came out good. They put new plugs and caps on as well. They tested the coil and it seems to be working fine. They are currently going through all the wiring seeing if there is a problem there. Not sure what else it can be? These things don't have that much that make them tick! Hoping they get this figured out as I want my banshee back!! Oh yeah and I just ordered a new wiring harness from STB with NO TORS or parking brake. I am hoping that will fix it. Even if that isnt the problem it will be good to have no TORS or parking brake wiring plus all brand new wires and connectors.

  5. correct, stock unported engine with vforce reeds and T5 exhaust compared to a 68mm bore clean up Driveline cylinder. I thought for the money, it was a pretty darn good value with plenty of room for future mods as the budget allows. For the record; I don't know Lane personally. I just thought members would like an honest unbiased review of this product of his.
