Hey guys, i have an 03 banshee with a blown up engine. i was thinking about rebuilding it but i've never done one and i was wondering if the pots need to be re-nickeled or just bored to my new piston size..

sounds great man.. a lot easier than i planned.. also the top end kit i'm looking at purchasing is a wiseco one with gaskets and bearings, now if im using the stock crank and rods is there a specific type/style of piston im looking for?

Just the standard 513 series pro-lites  You need to diagnose why it blew up or you'll likely be doin this again soon. Also, make sure that whoever bores your cylinders chamfers the ports so you don't snag a ring. One it's all together before you install the carbs have a leak down test done to insure you don't have an air leak. Once you have it running and have done all of your heat cycles and retorqued the head and cylinders you need to do plug chops to verify that your jetting is correct.

www.herrjugsracing.com <---- Get ahold of Kevin and send your cylinders and pistons to him. He can probably tell you what went wrong and how to fix it. He can have you up and running in a couple of weeks. Ask him about a port job while you have it out.
