Hello my name is Lynn. I have a 1997 banshee, haven't used it for a few years, been to busy ridding my yfz 450 had a big bore put in it by trenity racing, and now it's time for me to work on my banshee. Who are some of the big names out there to have it stroked and big boared and ported. I ride it mostly at the sand dunes (killpecker sand dunes in Wyoming) So what I'm trying to do is to rebulid my banshee to scare the living daylight's out of me or make it run like a hot scalding dog! Any info or even phone numbers to some of the top companys out there I would appreciate it. Thanks Lynn

Kevin Herr at http://www.herrjugsracing.com/

Knows his shit, can make a bike fly, will be very reliable, and will be the best customer service you dealt with period... he will answer any questions, spend any time on the phone to make sure you know what is going on, and did I say he will make your bike grow wings and fly?

He is the man to go to... sounds like you want a 4 mil crank setup with ported jugs and a little bit of a bore/hone. He will set you up. Visit the website above!

Don't do the big bore stock cylinders, huge waste of money IMO. The transfer ports are allready choked enough on oem banshee cylinders without cutting into them more for big bore sleeves. A nice aggressive port job and stroker crank with all the right supporting mods would be a good place to start. If your budget allows then you could consider aftermarket cylinders. What is the intended purpose of this bike, general duning/racing or just hill racing? What is your budget? These are the two questions that will dictate what you will have done. Also, what mods does it have now?
