The big things on top of the carbs, they are designed to cut off the fuel flow if the throttle sticks open. Over time they are said to sometimes cause trouble, so alot of people remove them before they have a chance to malfunction and cause mechanical problems. Quote

You probably already have TORS elimination kit (apparently made by Terry Cable). That's a plus. Do you have idle adjustment screws on the sides of your carbs? Quote
