ejnight Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 I Just got a 2000 350 and took it out this weekend. I was with a few friends and I had my cr250 so i took it out and my Friend took the 350 about half hour later we where coming in and the ban stopped. I was ahead of him so I'm not sure what happened he said it just stopped. I put it neutral and try to kick it. Nothing i can push on the kick start with my hand there is next to no Resistance know this is no good I'm looking for a start point. Please help as this was a hard pill to swallow and I want to get it fixed and move on. Quote
Onesickcrewcab Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Sounds like you lost all compression. A good starting point would be to drain the coolant and pull the head off, to see what kind of damage if any to the pistons. Its possible the spark plugs are loose, but to have both loose at the same time would be pretty rare. If they are loose I would still pull the head and check the pistons out. I always expect the worst, but thats just me. Quote
C&B Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Easier way to tell. Do a compression check. and when you take the plugs out, check for aluminum. Se if it burnt down. Quote

sa3ood_banshee Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) damn man i no how that can feel, anywayz if u can move tha kick starter all the way down with ur hand easily that means theres no compression at all, maybe u have a major head leak,or have shot a hole in one or both of ur pistons.wat mods do u have on her? and wat is ur jetting? EDIT : like c&b said, look at ur plugs, they can show u almost everythng that goes on inside ur jugs sa3ood Edited August 12, 2008 by sa3ood_banshee Quote
J-Madd Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 At least it's not locked up!! You probably have seized both sets of rings or have some damage on them. Rare to have both c ylinders do that....or maybe you have holes in both pistons..... Either way. you need pistons and rings, and possibly a fresh bore. But that should be all...and gaskets. Quote

OK so I pulled the head and I have holes in both pistons. I also have metal down in the crank from the pistons. What should I do next? Quote
mopar1rules Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 you will need to split the cases to get all the debris out and inspect the crank bearings. put new crank seals in and some 1194 on the case halves and torque back together. put new gaskets everywhere in the top end, new wisecos or pro-x pistons and rings, get a fresh overbore, jet it correctly, put back together with the bolts all torqued to spec and have fun.
