The question i have is, could you mess up your clutch by launching in 3rd gear? Sorry for the dumb question Thanks !!!!!!! Sorry for the double post :shoothead:

no more then launching in 1st. Only difference is if you dump the clutch in 3rd your probably bog or stall unless you have low gearing or enough power. If you bog and dont spin the tires all that power has to go somewhere usually your crank.

Well, the bike i'm referring to is my bro's, and the rider is my nephew, weighs about 120 or so. The bike has a dune port, milled head vf's 3, etc....But yeah it has a lot of power to take off in 3rd, without bogging, just some tire spin.
