Misssppelllleddd Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Currently I have the Trinity Stage IV 33mm Keihin 2-1 setup. I was thinking of going to dual carbs. Not sure yet. With all the mods in my sig what size of carbs should I get? What advantages would I have by switching? Where should I get the setup? Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 30mm would be good, or a 33mm. The 2 into 1 is good, but falls right on it's face in the higher gears. I had it with a 35mm. Had all the top end in the world in the first 3-4 gears. You hit 4th, 5th, and 6th and it falls off the power. Make the switch. I can trail ride with my "top end setup" if I wanted, it is all in my signature. It has no problem trail riding, but I don't do it much. Make the switch! Quote

Where should I get the setup? depends on your riding style and where you ride. i ran 34mm mikuni's with toomeys for awhile. seemed to work out pretty good. dont know how it would compare to a single carb setup, as i have never ran one. Snopczynski Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Do you have any idea where your exhaust port duration is at? Quote
Misssppelllleddd Posted August 14, 2008 Author Report Posted August 14, 2008 122.5 transfer and 186 exhaust Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 Dual 28mm flatslides, ditch the vf3's and run carbon tech mid reeds on stock cages. Run curve 3 on the dyna. Is your timing advanced at all? Quote
Misssppelllleddd Posted August 18, 2008 Author Report Posted August 18, 2008 I don't have a timing plate. I have been running the curve 1 on the dynatek. Should I have a timing plate with the Dynatek? Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 (edited) You can run the plate and dyna. I set mine at zero and program the advance into the dyna. If your riding trails and trying to make lots of power everywhere, curve 3 should do better than curve 1. Edited August 18, 2008 by Snopczynski Quote
