danny Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 (edited) Hello everyone, I was wondering what kind of pipes would work best for my setup. I am looking for a pipe that would give me the most around mid-high rpm. Currently, I have fmf's with stock silencers...I know I know, but I just wanted to get it running. I was told t5's by the builder, but I thought I would ask here for a second opinion. Thanks, Almost forgot...wiseco pistons, 34mm Mikuni's, K&N's, True Welded Crank, Wicked Port, FmF's, Ported Reeds, Cut Head 180psi, Edited August 4, 2008 by danny Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 (edited) which fmf pipes, they made 5 different pipes for the banshee! Edited August 4, 2008 by Snopczynski Quote

Snopczynski Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Sorry, they are the old gold series pipes. Thats what I thought when I looked at that dyno chart. I personally like those pipes alot and I would keep those if I were you. When they made the T5, they copied that pipe. I still think the fmf has a better midrange hit though. Quote
KEVSWS6 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 I'm with Snop on that. Why try and lay out $500.00 to $600.00 for pipes to try and get a couple more horse power. Looks like good numbers to me. Quote

Before I walk away from this topic I just wanted to ask if you think I stand to gain from something like a CPI or Shearer pipe? I understand there is a trade-off with those pipes, but I am curious to hear your opinion on how they would potentially perform with my mods? Thanks, Dan Quote
lilmegill727 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 i also say keep the fmfs, pretty good numbers Quote
