98_banshee_newbie Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 I went riding today for about 4 to 5 hours. On the way riding home I noticed a strange noise. I was like what is that sounded like it was coming from my rear rotor nevertheless I got home and started to wash my shee off and noticed that the main bolt that goes into the end of the swing arm and carrier had no nut on it and has slid out at was rubbing against my sprocket. If I would not have caught that that could have been ugly next trip out. What do you guys think? Has that ever happened to you guys before? Quote
2/2 many banshees Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 always look over your ride before and after you go riding Quote

Pyrojunky619 Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 had that happen to me! it was the bottom one and it cought the sprocket an bent the bolt. now i hang on the bolts an but a light dab of blue lock tight on them Quote
MILO Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) my nephew must have forgotten to tighten one of the rear carrier bolts after adjusting his chain. it slid out and jammed in his sprocket and locked up the rr end almost sending him over the bars. good catch bud. that could be a disasterous situation.
