What are you guys using to pack your silencers? And good packing out there that I should stay away from, or any that are better than others? I am going to pack my silencers this week as I was in need for awhile but I want to do it ASAP. If the local shop doesn't have it in stock, I can order it or get it online.

What are you guys using and generally how much do you go through with 2 silencers?

easiest might be to get a packing kit from trinity.. they might have them all precut for their silencersbut I dunno... I usually sell my pipes before I repack. lol I've used toomey packing which was a pain... shit floating around everywhere.. PT packing and that was pretty easy to work with.. I know some guys just use the pink panther insulation. I've also used the whitebrothers silent sport packing to try and keep my Db's down for my dunes.... I dont think it worked..

just buy the fmf pink packing. its very ez to use. you want to wrap the packing around the perferated core nice and tight, but not so tight that it cant absorb the gases. get some half inch masking tape wrap it nice and spaced out. keep it tight to the core as well. then slide the core with new packing back inside the cover and screw it back together

It is just fiberglass insulation. I use the FMF 2-stroke white or the pink stuff. It works good. 7 bucks

a bag x 2... I'm sure just some good old r-15 with the paper removed would work...

I ended up getting the FMF 2 stroke pink performance stuff. Was enough in one bag to do both.

She smokes a little, but I didn't rip with her yet. Just started it and revved it a little. But it sounds good, and it really needed it.
