eprada87 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Share Posted July 25, 2008 my mods right now are: CPI inframe pipes Open airbox w/k&n filter stock carbs with 300 main jet and 25 pilot jets 2nd needle clip to the bottom(2nd closest to the pointy part) gearing is 14f and 45r(duno why, i bought the bike like that) When i first start it and go run it, it doesnt hit powerband in 1st or 2nd but in the rest of the gears it does. After it warms up, it hits the power band in all gears but it still seems to bog a little like if it isnt clearing out enough. i also checked my spark plugs and there a nice chocolate brown color. Does anyone recommend changing the needle to the middle? To me it sounds like your getting to muvh fuel so I would go with a smaller jet to get less fuel an more air to lean it out a little.
