  1. my mods right now are: CPI inframe pipes Open airbox w/k&n filter stock carbs with 300 main jet and 25 pilot jets 2nd needle clip to the bottom(2nd closest to the pointy part) gearing is 14f and 45r(duno why, i bought the bike like that) When i first start it and go run it, it doesnt hit powerband in 1st or 2nd but in the rest of the gears it does. After it warms up, it hits the power band in all gears but it still seems to bog a little like if it isnt clearing out enough. i also checked my spark plugs and there a nice chocolate brown color. Does anyone recommend changing the needle to the middle? I have heard thats the setting to put it on but im not sure. im also at sealevel. thanks

  3. i just finished cutting the locknut with a dremel. we used a HD wheel to cut that shit. now the bearing doesnt wanna come out. the internals came out of course from being shot so its jus the outer part thats still there. i just might go the dremel method again. thanks for your help
  4. im changing my bearing on my 87 since its original and worn out. its so original that the locknut that holds the bearing is rusted in the frame. i washed it with PB blaster, torched it, tryed using the bolt trick that alot of people were talking about in other threads, and tryed using a big screw driver and hammer. Its still not even moving a bit. I even tryed cutting it with a dremel but my wheels break after a while. What do you guys suggest for me to do? looks like the only thing i can do it cut it into pieces. i will appreciate all the ideas and help i can get.
  5. cant wait to go back to PR again, thats how we do it. where in PR is that?
  6. i got a 87 banshee and i want new arms. let me know was up
  7. i just got a 1987 banshee(j arm of course) and it has a play in the steering stem. it feels like i can pull it up and down about an inch. when i drive it expecially at high speeds, i feel vibration from the whole bike itself. the chain was loose and the axel so i tighten it up and it got a little better but still looks like the rear wheel is a little wobbling at high speeds. i also was thinking maybe the ball joints are a little messed up in the frontend that maybe causing the vibration too cuz the front right wheel wobbles a bit. i hear you cant change the balljoints on the j arms also..? any solution i can try to diagnose these problems? also is there a aftermarket place that sells j arms? ive been trying to find them but no hope. would really appreciate all the help i can get much. thanks
