Wildcardracing Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 I stick with what has always worked for me, Wiseco's Quote
HAUSERSMOTORSPORTS Posted July 24, 2008 Author Report Posted July 24, 2008 who do you buy yours through? i know jeff has then for 65 bucks a peice. same package as vitos. when you rebuild your engines do you ever reuse your needle bearings? Quote
Wildcardracing Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 I can't beat that price. I source mine through Western Power. $65 is a hell of a deal considering list on them is $114.99 each. I usually recommend replacing the bearings, depending on hours, wear and budget. If it's a low hour engine in for porting only (not burned down) and the owner is on a tight budget then I'll reuse them. But, they are only @$10 each. Quote
HAUSERSMOTORSPORTS Posted July 24, 2008 Author Report Posted July 24, 2008 i think that im going to replace the bearings anyway because it was never opened up before. so reusing bearings from 98 will probably give me problems. im trying to cut corners as much as i can with this but id rather spend the 10 bucks and replace them anyway instead of replacing a crank when it blows apart at 9 grand. as of right now its going to cost me 275 bucks to get it where i want it. it aint that bad. Wildcardracing Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 On a 98', yes I'd definately change the small end bearings. Quote
HAUSERSMOTORSPORTS Posted July 24, 2008 Author Report Posted July 24, 2008 the one thing that i dont understand is that everybody has top end kits but none that i saw includes needle bearings. you would kinda figure they would. Quote
