banshee1982 Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 hi all i have been riding for years but i am newto the banshee i recently bought a 1994 banshee after buying carbs (came without) i have not been able to have a good ride yet. i plan on a rebiuld this winter but i would love to get a few rides this summer. well at first it seemed to run good and strong but now it will back fire when i hit the gas.also i bogs for a min before revving up.. i have cleaned the carb changed the plugs and cleaned/checked the reeds.all seems well.till i start it.then the same old shit... last ride resulted in a broke lower right ball joint at about 60mph a bit harry ...that was interesting so im waiting on a new a arm it should be here next week but i would like to get it runnig better while i wait.the carbs came from ebay and when i first took them apart i seen that they had 300 mains in them..i thought it seemed very large for what little mods i had so i droped them to 230's still runs the same though i have tried to adjust the air screw but it dose not seem to change anything at all.i have been fighting it for weeks. and im running short on game plans other than to fully tear down and rebiuld early...that would make for a bumming sumer:( anyone have any ideas ? what should the air screw be set at stock??? i need some where to start....p.s. choke hose is tight:) banshee1982 Quote
