bobilly Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Bought an 01 banshee motor off a buddy that had spun a rod bearing. I know that its pressed on but is there anyway of fixing it without getting a new crank? Also what about stroker cranks? Are they worth it? -thanks Quote

Are they worth it?-thanks No, you cannot repair the crank without special tooling and knowledge. Proper phasing and runout must be held. Twins and up are for experienced machinists and crank builders. Yes, strokers are worth the extra money. I think over 50% of banshees are at least running a 4mm crank by now. You will have to mod the cylinders and head for any stroker. Stock will be cheapest. Brandon Quote

bobilly Posted July 17, 2008 Author Report Posted July 17, 2008 Thanks for the help. I think I'm going to go with a stroker motor. How much power would 4mm give me over stock? What kind of mods will I need to do and do I need stroker pistons to match? thanks Quote
