Wildcardracing Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Out of the dozens of cylinders I've ported over the years, I haven't done a whole lot of early banshees. Most of them have been at least 95 or newer. The last while I've gotten a couple of sets of earlier banshee cylinders in and have noticed that the factory casings on them are much cleaner (less flawed) than the later years. I was just curious to see how many of the other builders have noticed the same thing?? :shrug: I think yamaha's quality control on the banshee castings went by the wayside the last few model years. Doing a set of jugs from an 89 right now and have noticed almost no casting flaws on them. Quote
