Any help much appreciated. Ok, I am going to assume it is a tether kill switch that you are adding in addition to the factory one right?? One wire from your new kill switch goes to ground. Doesn't matter which one. The other wire needs to go to the kill wire for the CDI. There is a black wire with a white stripe on it that goes up to your factory handlebar mounted switch assembly. You want to tap into that wire. Quote
PROXT Posted July 6, 2008 Author Report Posted July 6, 2008 Do you go into the run switch or the key switch. Quote

rubberneck Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 if its a tether kill switch check this out  sa3ood Do not do it that way. That method will in fact work to kill the bike, but according to info on this site, that method of grounding the coil is hard on CDI's Do it the proper way and tie in to the black white kill wire designed to shut the bike off.
