Just added a K&N / Pro Flow adapter filter kit. Currently running WITH the stock lid/box and NO snorkel. Mains are at 280, pilots at 27.5. Should I just bump the mains up to 290 or do I need to go bigger with the addition of the K&N?

Other current mods are FMF SST pipes/silencers (already jetted for that).

Thx

After reading K&N's instructions, it states that you do not need any tuning or jetting mods if just adding the filter to a stock airbox with the lid and snorkel. Since I removed the stock snorkel when I added the FMF pipes and rejetted for the pipes and the snorkel removal, that makes me think I do not need to rejet when adding the K&N since I am making no airbox modifications and already had the jetting for the snorkel removal.

Right or wrong?

bones, i would just do a plug reading at wot, to determine if the jetting is still ok. if you have to fatten things up, it probably is like only 1 size on the mains. i think its funny that k&n says that no rejetting is necessary with their filter. ok, makes a guy start to think this....what would make a guy have to rejet/go richer after adding a higher flow filter? the increased amount of air that's what. well, if k&n doesn't say that you have to fatten things up, are you really getting better flow and increased amounts of air to your engine with a k&n filter than?

How much you want for it?
