cdi box problem

Ive had my cdi box go out 2 times on my 1987 banshee is there some kind of aftermarket one i can get and why does it keep going out?

My 88' went through two of them before I figured out that my wiring harness was shorting out. Mine would also start running bad and die if it got really wet. I pulled off the harness and unwrapped the whole thing. I then soldered all the wire connections (they were all just crimped before) and then sealed and heat shrinked them. Then I rewrapped the whole harness and put it back on. I have had no problem getting it wet or killing CDI's since then and that was about ten years ago.
