neely97 Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 I`m trying to get a 4mil Cub setup for the 1/8th mile, asphalt. I have a +10 swinger, Wheelie Bar, 18 by 10 by 10 American Racers, 2.68 prims, 35mm PWK`s and trying to decide what override to go with. What are you guys running? Quote
docjcwatson Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 1-5 override with a lockup is very important for any kind of drag quad. Once somebody figures out how to make a 1-6 override, without the problems associated with it. I might go for one! Quote

What kind of sprocket gearing are you running? I`ve been told that 18 or 19th on front and 41th on rear. By way, Greg at WCR has some full 1-6 that he is putting out for trial. They are $650.00 Edited June 17, 2008 by neely97 Quote
docjcwatson Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 The problem with the 1-6 override, is that you have to come to a complete stop in order to downshift. Atleast I can downshift when I am coming back around to the starting line. Quote

I know they will work, but bigger might be better. Quote

The problem is the East Coast says one thing and the West coast says something different. One says I need 17th and 38th or39th with 20" Rears. The other says 18 or 19" rears and 18 or 19th front and 40 or 41th on rear!!! And the carbs should be at least 39mm. Quote

docjcwatson Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 No mine is not duneable. Why would I want duneable if mine is purposely set up for street? Quote
