yamaha04 Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 hey guys i just got a new crank stock stroke hot rods. when i turn the flywheel with my hand it seems to have some play between the drive off the crank and the big gear on the back of the clutch basket. could this be my noise. i wouldnt say its alot of play but should there be any?. also could it be my cluch cushions. can they be replaced on the stock basket? i can move the gear on the back of the basket with my hand but its not overly to easy but it can be done. also when i put it together i just dumped ATF fluid in the tranny just to start it to see if everything was working right. then i was going to drain it and put in gear saver. but i only put a liter in. there should of been 1.7L but i ran out of atf so could the lack of oil make my tranny sound loud. it only ran for about 1 minute. then i tore it all back down and split the cases again but i just cant find any clear signs.
