Jetting setup help

I have a stock 03 banshee and am installing a FMF Fatty pipe and K&N filter with a K&N powerlid.

I live in Vancouver Canada and run at sea level with 32:1 premix ratio. Ave temperature here is around 70 to 75f.

 

FMF recommends 260 main with the needle on the 3rd clip and air screw at 1.5 turns on a machine with no other mods.

K&N recommends 340 mains with needle on 5th clip and air screw at 2 turns on a machine with no other mods.

 

What is a happy medium to get me going.

I had a stock Banshee once. My first mods were a set of Toomy T-5 pipes and a K&N power lid. I ride at sea level and have the same temps as you. I was running a 320 main jet and 27.5 poilets. It was running a little fat but better safe then sorry.

 

The instructions that come with the power lid are junk. Maby they revised them, I dont know. The instructions that came with mine said to put different size jets in each carb. :shoothead:

one of those k&n lids will obviously flow less air , if anything,. than no lid at all, i would start at a 280 with needle on 3rd clip and stock pilot, 280 might even be fat, ive never used one of those lids

i think the people at k$n are out of their minds from the sounds of it
