Carb size to mods

Ok i sold some 36mm kiehins to someone on ebay. Come to find out his only real mod is T-5s. I told him he got ahead of himself, and had i know that would have recommended a different path. If he puts those on his shee i suspect he will lose alot of bottom end to say the least. what do you all recommend i tell him. I suggested in an email that he should have went with some reeds over that big of an increase in carb size. He had no plans for port work or anything.
