Banshee running hot

I just picked up my third Banshee. It has a cool head (unknown domes) , FMF fattys, K&N filter, +5 timing. The guy I got it from said it was jetted right FMF calls for 260 mains on third notch, with no other mods. He never rejetted when he added the other mods. Plugs and white, hardly any smoke from the pipes. Bike runs HOT cant touch the head pipe after 1 minute. 1st question, should I run race gas to see if it runs cooler, 2nd What would be a good starting point for jetting? Anyway to tell what size domes?......Sorry for so many questions guys but the feedback I get from BHQ is always solid.

Airbox lid on or off? my wifes has coolhead with 20cc domes, timing at 4 degrees, fmfs fatty's, no lid, with 330 mains, and needles on third notch from top. I am unsure of my elevation, but I jetted it at little sahara oklahoma last weekend.

pro design stamps the dome size into the side of the dome. Does it kick harder than your other two bikes? Turn the timing down and see if it helps the heat problem.

 

Might sound dumb but hot after one minute? Did you check the coolant? Also maybe the water pump impeller is stripped or broken.

 

White plugs also means lean, whats your elevation? 260 is tiny

Coolant is good. Im at 200 feet. Damn my wife is scare of the ole suzuki alt 125. Sounds like me and your wife have similar quads, and im scared of mine. Think I will try to go 330 to. Maybe 340.

You will have to see if you don't have a blown head gasket if it gets that hot that quick. You going riding this weekend?

Id like to go to the badlands but my wifes family is in town. Im going to try to sneak out to Haspin for a few hours on Sunday. It seems like every weekend BHQ riders are getting together im always busy.
