Might be time to rebuild the carbs, I just had to do it on my buddies bike..

the needls seat, is rubber and then wear over time and allows fuel to leak out, I order 2 rebuild kits from FAST and the carbs are perfect now, no leaks at all...The kits are like $15 each...sometime taping the carbs works, but if the rubber is worn the only thing that is going to help is replacing it...good luck

Oh my, lol dont replace the carbs over the floats sticking or a worn seat!? take the bowls off, take the float off (push the pin through) look at the rubber nipple looking thing (seat) make sure its clean and free of debri, also inspect to see if its worn a groove in it. this is a very common problem, my dad always said tap the carbs, never worked lol but hey! i like beating on shit just as much as the next guy
