I bought a new shee yesterday and have a questions about the 421 setup... Why is the spacer plate on top of the head?? this isnt right is it, makes no sense, seems like a ring catcher to me,can i just pull the topend off get new gaskets and put the plate below the cylinders? ive heard u can use special domes for them instead of using a plate, i like that idea better, where to find? :thanks:

are you sure its a spacer plate and not the base of the cool head?

Snap a pict of this thing. If it is infact a spacer plate i can for see you shelling alot of money to get this thing back to how its supposed to be.
