Hey all I'm at the business end of my build and am almost ready to break her in. What I would like to know is what would be a good base start for jetting. My mods are:

Std bore, no porting (rebuilt engine though - new crank and full strip down and clean)

Ceramic coated combustion chambers and pistons. (running vertex pistons)

FMF Gold series

V-force 3 reeds

No air box just dual k&n's

Std carbs

Dyan ignition (if your wondering after the run in will be dyno tuning)

I'm in Australia so my height above sea level is somewhere between 5 and 10 meters depending on where i'm standing in my house.

Temps at the moment are around the 20 deg Celsius with little humidity

I got a dyna jet kit with my filters and have put the 340 mains in and the new needle, I read the jetting FAQ and have lowered my needle clip for the reeds. So I'm wondering if the mains will be ok and what pilot's I should run.

Thanks for the help.

Probably no more than 320 mains, I would say closer to 300's at sea level, I ran 280's with about that same setup (+4 plate and no ceramic coating) at 5000' elevation (not sure how many meters that is...lol) probably run a 30 pilot. Do a plug chop to verify your jetting.

Cheers thats the sorta info I'm looking for, I got 320 and 300 mains with the kit so Ill chuck the 320's in and order a few pilots (27.5, 30 and 32.5). What ratio were you running in your setup?
