dajogejr Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Have you Ohm'd the stator or the Coil? Have you removed the flywheel, shaken it...and listened for broken up metal. I'd run an extra ground wire from the motor to the chassis somewhere. You have a tether kill switch? Try removing that.... What is the air/pickup gas set to? Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 spunds like a shorted wire in the harness. Try the new harness. Quote
millertime Posted May 1, 2008 Author Report Posted May 1, 2008 put a brand new wire harness on....put a new stator on and it ohm'd the same as the old one.. no tether on it... i will shake the flywheel and see .. and check the air gap.. maybe run a extra ground to Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 my cousins bike did the same thing yours is doing after he thought he didn't need my help shortening my harness. We replaced it and it fired right up. You may have a tors wire shorted or something. Quote
hylander88 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I had the same problem with mine with the new stator... move the coil a little closer to the fly wheel found out with the rick stator..the gap is a little farther away from the fly wheel.... Quote
sheerider1026 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 plus ricky stators are junk!! don't be surprised if that brand new stator is just an expensive paper weight!! i have seen a lot of them bad right out of the box!! try ohming it out also.. good luck.. Quote
