F.BEJARANO Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 When I removed my T.O.R.S. I just disconnected everything. I've read that some people cut the wires as close to the wiring harness as possible but i didn't. The instructions didn't say to. I've also read that you can remove the small switch under the throttle cover and remove the parking brake. Is this necessary? Will I have any problems with how shee runs? My jugs are getting ported by Kevin right now so I can't fire her up. I also went ahead and installed the adjustable timing plate and billet impeller. Hope I don't have any problems gettin her started when shee gets put back together. Thanks guys. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 as long a you disconnected the box thats mounted under the tank to the left side (as your sitting on the bike) then those switches wont do anything. You can cut all the caps off or leave them either way its fine. Cuttig them off just makes it look nicer. You should get a TORS removale kit so you can ditch the shit on top of your carbs. Quote

I removed the TORS and installed the aftermarket caps. I also drilled and tapped the carbs. Quote

tooez Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Not to high jack thread. What happens if you don't drill and tap the carb's. Will it run right. thanks Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 It will run but won't idle you would have to keep your thumb on the throttle and give it a tad bit of gas to idle right. So it's best to install the idle screws. Quote
