we rode last weekend and it ran fine, tryed starting it today and nothing, i noticed i had the slides in backwards and swaped them over and still nothing, i have a great spark. and good comp. i know its a fuel issue. put smaller mains and larger mains and still nothing, so i put the slides the way they were before (with the cutout towards the motor) and she fired and ran for about 15 seconds, which leads me to beleive that its starving for gas, kick it over and it seems to ignite the fuel because little puffs of smoke come out. i didnt check the pilot to see if it was plugged or not, could a plugged pilot cause it to not even fire? seems like every time i mess with the carbs and put them back on it will fire and run for a few seconds then quit and nothing.

ideas? :banghead:

The screens inside the fuel tank could be in need of a good cleaning. Drain the gas, remove the petcock, clean both screens, and replace everything.

Its getting gas, i open the drain screw on the bottem of the carb and both bowls have fuel, i checked the pilots and they are pretty pluged. haven't put the carbs back on to see if it fires yet.

I would put the slides back in the right spot check the plugs and you might have cracked or broke some reeds in the intake.
