bansheeonly Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I read everyone talk about having only a professional banshee builder to be the one to do porting. I was wondering if the same applies for boring and honing or would a local machine shop be qualified enough to do this? Any suggestions and replies appreciated. Thanks Quote
crustydemon Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Any good local machine shop should be more than capable of boring a 2 stroke cylinder but always ask them first. Some may not have a proper way to hold the cylinder if all they do is automobile engines. Quote

Wildcardracing Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Also, make sure that they or you chamfer the ports after it has been bored or you will hang a ring for sure. Quote
