extreem9 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 So I just got done putting together the bottom end of my banshee, it now has a 4mm hot rods long rod in it. I am taking it to cascade innovations tommorow to have them put the top end together and to port the cylinders to match the 4mm. I am sooooo excited top get it back I hope it ripps! Heres the questions . I have a 2 into 1 carbs setup and I am curious to know if you all have some advice on how to jet it, since it is going to be sucking more air thru. She also has t5's it's bored 20 over and has 17cc domes. Also what should my timing advance be set to it's at 4.5 degrees now, but I am curious if it should be a bit higher, I plan to run 110 octane. And I only run at the oregon dunes (sea level). Any advice will be great. Thanks!!!!!!! Quote
Hilarious Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Unless you are going to drag race the thing, and I doubt your are since you are planning on using one carb, i'd set the timing to +5. You need to ask whomever is doing the portwork on jetting reccomendations and then fine tune from there. A really nice port job coupled with the 4mm of over stroke on race gas will definately be a really fun little motor. Quote

Uless you are running a spacer plate you will need special cut domes, not sure if you already have them or not..What type of carb do you have? If its a 35 pwk, I would say a 190-200 main would be close with a EEl or EEK needle. Quote
dajogejr Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 17cc domes? At sea level, that's a little more compression than I'm comfortable with....I'd go 19s, and ask said...have Cascade cut you a set for the stroker. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Just got done building a motor that sounds like yours except the 2 into 1 settup. We are at sea level but with a 5mm spacer plate. Do you have the spacer plate? If so go with 19cc domes and if you didn't get it like Dave said get Cascade to set you up with some domes. Here's what we built this past week EDIT: Only pic i have thought it showed the spacer plate but it didn't. Quote
extreem9 Posted April 14, 2008 Author Report Posted April 14, 2008 (edited) Yeah I forgot to mention that cascade is cutting my domes. My bad. Also the carb is a 35 pwk. Mike at cascade said he was going to set it up to be at about 170 psi. So that I can run 110. Edited April 14, 2008 by extreem9 Quote
