Ubuntu 8 beta

I just downloaded, installed ubuntu 8 via the Live CD and so far.. I like. It detected my wireless card automatically and even got the resolution modes set right the first time.

Only thing is the sound driver didn't install but.. I have a better sound card to use instead anyways. onboard audio stinks.

 

Nifty part about it, it's bundled with Firefox 3 - Beta 4, which I started using on the xp lappy about a week or so ago.

I've tried a few flavors of Linux in the past. I just don't have the time to get a lot of hands on with them.

And...I can't replace the last 10 to 12 years of Windows and networking from my real world experience and put that into Linux...
