need help! switched throttles

ok i just bought a banshee that had a twist throtttle. it has the top tor things but they are disconnected.so i hooked my thumb throttle cable fired her up shee runs like crap popping and stuff. what the heck. !! it has a high constant idle and when i push the gas it starts to rev and pop and stuff. thanxne help would be well appreciated

So you just disconnected the cable from the twist and connected the same one directly to your thumb throttle assembly? Can't understand what the popping noise your talking about but high idle may mean you have to get the right length cable for the thumb throttle. The length may be different for the twist. I'm not positive cause i haven't had a twist ever.

yeah they are 2 different cabels i just went threw the same thing.

yeah buy a replacement thumb throttle cable for a TORS removal kit. motion pro sells them and i think toomey does also. got mine from magic racing. be sure you sync those carbs when you replace the cable or it wont run good at all.

 

p.s. i take it that your a texas fan. im a tennessee fan. at least one UT is doing good this year! lol.
