tonyown Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 Hi, I'm making a new engine, 4mm stroker, 5mm long rod crank with fast woods port soon, I'd like to know wich carbs i could run with this set up, can i run my stock carb? Actually they have 310 main jet for my old set up (my signature description). Thank you Quote
Animalman294 Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 You can, but it will be choking a stroked motor just a tad, you should go to 33's or maybe even 35's with a that kind of increase in stroke especially if you have a good set of pipes.............. Quote
tonyown Posted April 7, 2008 Author Report Posted April 7, 2008 ok I don't know much about carbs... is the bigger the better? 33 vs 35 what's the difference for my setup? I don't know at all what I'm gonna buy Quote
njbanshee Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 I would go with 35's. If you plan on more upgrades later they will still work for you. 33's would work too. The more HP you are making the bigger carb your gonna need to feed the motor. Quote
tonyown Posted April 8, 2008 Author Report Posted April 8, 2008 ok im not gonna make any more big change cuz its a wood/trail shee just switch my fmf for pro circuit or t5 soon and maybe run higer compression that's all.. anyway i'll go with 35's ty ! Quote
