Just throwing it out there if anyone has any ideas that could help. My bike wouldn't run at all if it wasn't for dajogejr or fastLANE  I cross posted here before he responded back and am still trying to figure it out... can't hurt to get a couple different sets of eyes on it!! Anybody have any ideas about my current idle problem?? Quote

shudakeptquiet Posted March 22, 2008 Author Report Posted March 22, 2008 Copy your E2S post into this thread. I have been having a hell of a time getting signed into E2S for about 3 weeks now. I thought the SAME thing bro. I called the guy I bought it from, he owns a dirt bike shop, and asked him that specifically. He told me that he himself removed the carb and cable from a running banshee with a thumb throttle. Now I just have to ask myself if I believe him... In the mean time, my buddy fastLANE and I have been trying to figure it out. We ran the throttle cable ball UNDER theclip and then attached it, This made it almost perfect with adjusting the cable adjustment and carb adjustments out pretty far. Bike starts and runs/sounds good. It WILL NOT hold an idle without the slightest bit of pressure on the thumb throttle!?! If you just barely touch it, it's good(well, has a fast idle, but runs), but the second you let off it the bike stalls. WTF is that about? Dave, you are the man, I hope I'm not pissing you off here...thank you for all of your help and advice. Thanks gumby... Quote

Anybody have any ideas about my current idle problem?? You have adjusted the idle screws I take it, I had no probs with mine idleing when I installed them, I dont even think I had to mess with the idle after adjusting the cables where they needed to be with just a little bit of slack. OK, heres another dumb question... which one is the idle screw on these? the screw with the springon the left sideof the carbs, or the sunken screw on the right side?? I'm thinking it's the left side spring screw in comparing them to the stockers... Also, whats the best way to set idle? all the way in then back it out or what?? thanks guys Quote

TORS(?) sensor in the throttle box!! FKN TORS!!! Well, took that out compltely and it'll hold an idle, a fkn fast idle, but hold and keep running. Half the problem solved!!! Nowto fix this fast idle... going toplay with the, i hope, idle screw. Lefty loosey, i hope, hehehe Quote
