Yeah, I did some searching--some with good results, some with not-so-good results. I know I have to dump the tors... and I don't want a twist throttle... and I know what oil I like.

BTW, I'm new to two strokes, and even newer to Banshees. I bought an '03 Blaster last month, and am picking up an '06 SE 'Shee tonight... Problem is, she is bone-freakin'-stock. I live in Socal, and dune at Glamis and Dumont...

So onto my questions:

I want to do exhaust and jetting asap--what is a good duning set-up that won't sacrifice reliability? Any particular brands that stand out as very performance oriented and that give a reasonable duning power band? Any other things I "need to do" first?

TIA!!!

well first, get rid of the TORS. heres chase's link.

the goddamn tors removal thread

next id say check over all your chassis bearings for wiggles and fix any ou find, cheap fix with long term ridability. wont burn up your mod budget.

i cant suggest anything on the pipes because im not a duner, but for a mildly stock banshee id recomend FMF fattys with -2 or 3inch silencers. go with K&N pods and a rejet and you should notice a decent pickup on your midrange and a fair top end. people bag on FMF's but why spend the big bucks on dragish pipes without the internals to support them?

...Thanks for your input! Yeah, I don't intend to drag this 'Shee just yet, and to me, half the fun of getting to Olds' hill at Glamis is the ride through the dunes.

glad i could help brudder, your dead on tho half the fun of the ride is actually getting somewhere. real tuning should be looked at as a whole, unless your a dragger and want to go somewhere real fast and shut your bike down or whatever. "naw i cant go over there cause its too rough, my banshee will bend" or "i dont have enough low end in my banshee to go in a trail that tight"

boo
