ClimbAnyHill Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 Just like savage said! Just make sure they'll fit without rubbing as the springs are wider. Quote
foxracing350 Posted March 17, 2008 Author Report Posted March 17, 2008 hey can someone measure how wide the 450 spring is front to back so i can make sure it will fit before i buy a set Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 Hey i just measured mine up with a tepe measure and got 3". But im sure if i put the calipers on there it would be some crazy numbers . But i hope that gives you a rough idear! Quote
foxracing350 Posted March 17, 2008 Author Report Posted March 17, 2008 thanks man why would having the calipers on matter? Quote
2001Stroker Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 thanks man why would having the calipers on matter? He means a measuring caliper. Looks like a C-Clamp, but has a dial or digital numbers on it. You get exact measurements with them. Down to the hundreds of thousands of an inch. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 oh wow im retarded Kidding buddy  Quote
2001Stroker Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Not trying to hijack your thread, but I'm getting ready to make the 450 a-arm switch. I'm just curious, if I do that, and use the 450 shocks, will the ride height be the same? I love how it sits. Currently, I have the stock shocks and a-arms. I'm kind of on a buget, so I can't afford those nice ass Elka's. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) Well whatevr you do Dont use stock banshee shocks with the 450 arms ..get the arms AND shocks or it will sit real low. I measured mine and it only sits an inch lower witch i like. Some people hate the set up but alot like it as do i, so whatever floats your boat and for the price its not that big of deal if you dont ....i say go for it bro...Shocks AND arms tho! Edited March 19, 2008 by savage420 Quote

I was wondering about that. I'm looking an EBay for some 450 shocks, right now. I'm guessing that I will have to revalve them, for the weight of the bike and me on it. I'm about 190lbs., and I pretty much sit on the fuel tank. I might just get by without even touching them, huh? Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Yeah no need to fuck around with them...just slapp them in and set the pre nuts about a half inch from the top and the comp and rebound all the way out and you should be good to go...then play with the adjuster to how you like then when out on the trails. Have a gooder bud  Quote
