Any of you experts out there have any way of fixing the primary coil???

I lost spark before I began my teardown and rebuild and that was the problem. I had to use my old crappy stock stator but it still works.

I only come up with about 10 ohms when I measure between the green and red wires and I think it's suppossed to be around 13-14 ohms...

Can they be fixed somehow or is it just a done deal??

Here's my advice.

If it's less than a year old and you can prove it, it's under warranty. Otherwise, throw it out, get an OEM replacement stator in case the one you have fails.

RS used to be good stuff...not so the case anymore.

I think spec on one side is 17, the other is 117. They should be 100 off from each other, +/- 2 Ohms I believe....

Did you get that started yet Tate?

Yep, she started up last night!! Sounds purdy too!!

My stator is about 4 years old, I really like the high output but don't like all the unreliability everyone talks about. I called them to see if they would help me out and they said they would discount a new one for me...

Not sure what I'll do yet...

They are pretty good with replacements. Problem is not1 elses makes a HIGH output stator that can run all my lights... IMy old one had spark problem that I noticed after porting, it ran ok with stock cylinders though, replacement had the cheap china bolts that stripped out, No problems since I got the newest one but time will tell. I heave head abotu the plate istelf stripping out or grade 8 bolts stripping out (Grade 9 Allenheads should be overkill compared to what the stock stator has).
