Wanted: Desert Tank

I got a Blue IMS 4 Gallon Tank for sale. The plastic bridge has been cut to fit a pingle valve, but you can still run a stock petcock if wanted. Tanks is prefect condition. Used it one season. Then rebuilt my bike to do more hillshooting so i dont need a big tank. The cap and pingle in picture will not come with the tank.

Just out of curiousity, do the stock tank covers fit over these? I have custom paint and hate to screw that up not being able to use the covers. I am interested though.

no with over sized tanks you have to remove your tank cover. depending on what size tank you get you have to cut the lower plastic as well so the tank will fit. With this tank you just have to remove the tank cover and bolt it up, it doesnt really look all that bad, other then your case having custom paint. and you cant paint a plastic tank becasue the porous nature of the plastics the paint will bubble and peal.

Well crap, that's what I was afraid of. I guess it's not going to work and I don't want to trash my paint. I guess I will just buy a gas rack for the back ( hey I rhymeded ). Thanks for your time though. I appreciate it.
