My steering feels soooo dam tight, All the bearings and seal are brand new..I had everything painted, steering stem, etc.... Anyone have any ideas or recommendations to help this prob... LiftdT4R Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 You running +2+1s right? Your tie rods are probably out of whack, I just recently had the same issue with my bie. I'd check that first. I forget the length of the tie rods for the +2+1s when extended out, but I have it written down somewhere, and I've posted it here before. Also, if the tierods happen to be fine, disconnect them at the steering nuckle, and see if you can tell if it is the ball joints on the knuckle that are binding up, or something in the steering stem. wacko2000 Posted February 19, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 OKay I will check that, but another thing, Is when I turn the wheel all the way in one direction the tie rod hits the bottom of the upper a-arm...whats up with that? okbeast Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 If your steering, like turning it right/left seems tight...try to loosen the clamp that holds the steering stem onto the frame. Michael Jackson Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 your tie rods hit your upper a arm? do you have them on backwards? meaning are the tie rod ends pointing down through the hole in the spindle with the castle nut and cotter pin on the bottom under?
